Hi there!

I'm Natalie. I'm from the midwest originally, but have lived all over the country since then and settled down in Olympia in 2020. After my sister was diagnosed with an aggressive cancer when I was 12, watching her successful treatment journey inspired me to go into healthcare. I went to nursing school straight out of high school while starting out as an in-home caregiver in the early 2000s. I went on to become a CNA before moving into the hospital as a nurse intern until I graduated in 2007 as a Registered Nurse.

I worked for a decade as an RN in various settings, primarily the Emergency Department, until I went back for graduate school, finishing my Nurse Practitioner program in 2015. I have loved my work in all the settings and roles I have been in, but especially the 3 years I worked as a mobile Primary Care Provider, driving around rural Tennessee, as well as the 5 years I spent doing house calls with the DispatchHealth Acute Care and Hospital-At-Home program in the Olympia/Tacoma area.

In light of the closure of DispatchHealth in Olympia, I have decided to bring my years of experience with mobile healthcare to our community with this private practice. I am partnering with my wonderfully detail-oriented spouse Shane to bring Friendly Faces to your homes and facilities. I love getting to know patients and families and having the perspective of their unique support systems and living situations. I have found that building relationships over time allows me to provide better and more realistic care for folks, and together we can navigate our way to the unique solutions that work best for your health, your family and your life. The medical world and patient's situations are always evolving, but to me, that's half the fun. I'm building Friendly Faces to have autonomy over my work and spend the time I enjoy spending caring for you.

I live in Olympia with my spouse Shane, our son who keeps us growing and evolving all the time, our cat Mazzy and a small flock of backyard chickens. I spend as much time as I can in nature hiking, camping, gardening and kayaking while trying to capture it all in photography. When I'm not doing these things, you can find me in the hot room at True Self Yoga, cooking up a feast or reading. I look forward to meeting you and learning your story.

XO,

Natalie
